The first annual Taste of Black St. Louis was a total success, especially after the music came on!

Perfect weather and amazing black owned businesses everywhere. From shaved ice to BBQ, to professional chefs, to an awesome DJ, and plenty of shopping vendors.

There were so many people who came out for the first one, that may have come as a surprise because the lines for the bathrooms were really long. Maybe next year there can be more!

I would have also loved to see Saint Louis Hop Shop there with some beer or booze options.

The ladies with Everybody Eats STL were amazing, and the event was so organized and easy to navigate from a vendor’s perspective.

Today was a great day for this event! It's so nice to see people hanging out and having a great time with no drama. The food was good and reasonably priced. There was something for everyone.The DJ had everyone dancing or bobbing their heads to the good music. The two organizers for the event were so friendly and willing to talk to you.I have to give a shoutout to the Yelp team! I had. to stop by the booth and say hello. I even got a frisbee so that my kids and I could play in the park.

​This was excellent! I'm not sure if this was the first taste of black St. Louis that there's been or if there's been others in the past that I've never heard of, but this exceeded my expectations! There were so many great restaurant vendors and retail vendors with booths in Tower Grove Park. And I was so delighted to see The yelp booth! Gotta represents! I had some delicious barbecue rib tips, spaghetti, and amazing potato salad by DOLO catering! The food was so good! And I also got a fun necklace from paparazzi jewelry and some beautiful head wraps while there! I'm so glad that this took place and I look forward to attending next year!
