Welcome to the Taste of Black STL (TOBSTL) a multi-sensory food experience based in St. Louis, MO. The Taste of Black STL brings awareness to our city’s black culinary talent and shines a bright light on black owned businesses.

This three-day festival happens the 2nd weekend in September in downtown St. Louis!

Taste of Black STL admission is FREE and features foods, retail, and informational vendors from Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis and more.

Since established in 2018, Taste of Black STL has attracted over 83,000 attendees, showcased over 200 foods, retail, and informational vendors, and harvesting thousands of dollars in gross sales for its vendors & sponsors. "Our mission at The Taste of Black St. Louis festival is to empower small minority business owners by providing educational programs and resources. We are dedicated to educating underserved communities about health and wellness, while also working towards alleviating poverty. By fostering economic growth and empowerment, we aim to enable micro-businesses to reinvest in themselves and their families, creating a positive impact within our community." The Taste of Black STL offers small businesses the perfect portal right into the hearts and tummies of audiences year after year.

In September 2021 the Taste of Black STL humbling accepted a Proclamation from Madam Tishaura Jones, St. Louis City 1st female, Black Mayor, naming the 2nd week in September as "Taste of Black STL weekend." As well as a Resolution and pausing on the floor from the Missouri House of Representatives & State Representative Marlon Anderson, a Democrat, of St. Louis City District 76, recognizing the Taste of Black STL as a staple in the community.
